The Canyons Ski Resort’s Situation , One Step Closer
On Friday, a Denver District Court Judge, denied Vail Resorts, Inc’s, preliminary injunction trying the block the acquisition of American Skiing Company’s, The Canyons in Park City, by Talisker Corp for $100M.
This does not mean that the sale will continue, as Wolf Mountain has stated that they have the right to block any sale of The Canyons without their consent, and they do not currently approve of the Talisker sale.
With snow on the ground and a little more than 3 weeks to the lifts open, the saga continues.

Talisker must not be too worried about Wolf if they pursued the sale. In other words, if Taliker felt they would be stopped by Wolf they would have just stepped aside and let Vail buy the Canyons. Wolf must be all bark and no bite!
I own a full owership one bedroom and a studio at Grand Summit as well as a one bedroom at the Sundial. I would love to sell my one bedroom at the Sundial since I no longer need it… so I wish this thing would get resolved quickly!
I also wonder if the golf course will ever get built… that sure would be nice!
