Through a partnership with Prevent Child Abuse Utah, Peace House, Inc presents child abuse prevention education in both public and private schools in Summit and Wasatch Counties. Using Prevent Child Abuse Utah curriculum, Peace House’s Educators provide age-appropriate, school-based lessons to students Preschool thru High School.

In the younger grades, Prevent Child Abuse Utah curriculum covers such subjects as:
· Bullying
· What to do with secrets
· Safety Saurus’ Safety Plan (Uh-Oh Feeling, Say No, Go Tell)
· Identifying trusted adults
These subjects are taught using a variety of interactive activities, such as classroom discussion, videos, group work, role plays, etc.

In the older grades, Prevent Child Abuse Utah curriculum covers such subjects as:
· Identifying the 4 types of abuse (Physical, Sexual, Emotional/Verbal, and Neglect)
· Difference between secrets that make you feel good and those that make you feel uncomfortable
· It’s ok to say “No” if someone makes you feel uncomfortable
· Go tell and keep telling a trusted adult till someone believes you
· Identifying who trusted adults are in their lives

In secondary education, prevent Child Abuse Utah curriculum covers such subject as:
· Healthy relationships
· Dating violence/abuse
· Sexual harassment
· Bullying
· Identification and definition of the different types of abuse (Physical, Sexual, Emotional/Verbal, and Neglect)
· Go tell and keep telling a trusted adult till someone believes you

All programs can be tailored to fit the needs of an individual school, to address specific issues that have been identified by school administration.
