Are you a jazz aficionado or would you like to become one?  We’ll listen to great jazz music and learn about its essential musical elements.  Synthesized from different musical traditions into an entirely new sound, jazz is one of America’s great indigenous art forms.  In this three-night series, explore collaborative and improvisational qualities of jazz music.  With live and recorded music, you’ll be groovin’.  Held at the Spotted Frog Bookstore located at 1635 W. Redstone Center Drive on the following Tuesdays:  January 30th, February 27th, and March 27th.  You can register online by visiting www.pcschools.us and clicking on “community ed.”

Presented by the Park City Jazz Foundation, sultry jazz singer, Jane Monheit will perform a cabaret-style concert at the Egyptian Theater in Park City, UTah on Sunday, February 18th.  Sponsored by Zermatt Resort & Spa in Midway and Knead-A-Massage, along with a generous grant from the Summit County RAP tax, all proceeds from this President’s Weekend concert will benefit the educational programming of both the Park City Jazz Foundation and the Egyptian Theater Company.

Critics call Monheit “the most talented jazz vocalist of our time.”  Her performances are “flawless.”

VIP tickets that include preferred seating and an after-concert artist reception are $100.  General Admission tickets are on sale for $35.  Student tickets are $20 with identification.
