Deer Valley is again #1, with Park City Mountain Resort at #5 and The Canyons moving up to #13. Park City dominates the Utah market, but other Utah resorts did very well with Solitude #22, Snowbird at #25, Alta at #28, and Snowbasin at #30. Utah is the only place with 7 resorts within an hour of each other that are in the Top 30. Most are within 30 minutes of the Salt Lake International Airport.

Vail, Whistler/Blackcomb and Snowmass trailed Deer Valley on the list, while Beaver Creek, Aspen, Steamboat, Breckinridge and Telluride rounded out the Top 10 following Park City Mountain Resort.

Utah’s resorts work hard at providing the best ski experience and it is becoming more apparent that The Greatest Snow on Earth is being complimented by the world’s greatest resorts.

Park City’s Leadership 14 class, Recycle Utah and the Environmental Club at Park City High recently concluded a special week of events that raised the awareness of the harmful effects of plastic bags.

The groups drafted an ordinance they originally hoped would ban the use of one-time plastic bags in Park City. The ordinance encourages Summit County residents to eliminate the approximately 10 million disposable shopping bags by switching to re-usable bags. The “Bag the Bag” campaign included many events for the week with prizes to local restaurants, tickets to the Park City Film Series, and the appearance of the “Bag Monster” at various venues.

Jim and Billie Harsch, local realtors with RE/MAX Mountain Properties, were proud to contribute over 500 re-usable bags to this effort and plan to distribute their bags for free to the Park City community over the coming months.

To get your free bag(s), contact Jim and Billie at http://unlockparkcity.com .
