Rhode Island Int’l Film Fest Big Boost for Parkites

riifflogogrey.jpgThe short film THE WRITE STUFF, produced locally by three Utah companies (Lectric TV, Crazy Parkite Productions and Saffire Productions), was very well received on August 12th by Providence audiences at the Rhode Island International Film Festival, where it premiered.  A children’s film for kids ages 11 and up, THE WRITE STUFF has appeal to both teens and adults, as the story shows how when children choose integrity over intimidation, it leads to a higher self-esteem.

The Grand Prize Jury Award for best short film at Rhode Island went to an excellent short called TANGHI ARGENTI, a Belgium film directed by Guys Thys and produced by Anja Daelemas and Dries Phlypo. TANGHI ARGENTI is a 14-minute poignant comedy that tells the story of an office worker who finds very creative ways to get his co-workers exactly what they want for Christmas.  Because it won the top short film prize at Rhode Island, this delightful little movie is in the running to be nominated for the best short Academy Award.  Crazy Parkite Productions is honored to have had a film screen with TANGHI ARENTI and congragulates its director and producers!  (Check out the other film winners at the Rhode Island International FIlm Festival at www.http://www.film-festival.org/index07A.htm.)
