Step One to an Academy Award
Crazy Parkite Productions is proud to announce the short film THE WRITE STUFF has been accepted into the 2007 Rhode Island International Film Festival, August 7th through 12th, in Providence, Rhode Island. A co-production with Saffire Productions and Lectric Pictures, THE WRITE STUFF stars local actors Nate Sears, Kim Page, Billie Harsch, and Derrick Dymalski, and was produced by Salt Lake filmmakers Bryan Baird, Jo Richardson, and local Parkite Stacy Dymalski.
At eight minutes in length, THE WRITE STUFF chronicles a 12-year-old boy who wins a writing contest, but is asked by the judges to modify his story considerably if he wants it published. Written and directed by Stacy Dymalski, THE WRITE STUFF makes its worldwide premiere at the RIIFF, where if it wins an award, the film will be Academy Award eligible for consideration of the 2008 Academy Award for best live action short.
