Utah Job Growth Still Better Than The National Average
Utah employment grew 1.4 percent in May compared with a national increase of just 0.1 percent. April job growth was 1.9 percent.
Mark Knold, the chief economist at the Utah Department of Workforce Services, says industries searching for workers include health care, information technology and life sciences.
Utah’s unemployment rate is 3.2 percent compared to the national average of 5.5 percent.
