Park City’s Susan and Jim Swartz Host a Fundraiser for Jane Goodall on March 2nd

I was recently informed by Tim LaPage that tim-and-jane-goodall.jpgJane Goodall, world’s foremost authority on chimpanzies, will be in Park City on March 2nd to speak at a fundraising buffet supper in the Deer Valley Home of Susan and Jim Swartz’s to help raise money for her continuing work.  Tickets will be $500 per person

Tim LaPage wrote “I first met Jane in the early seventies, when I was a young bush pilot, I flew medicine for her ailing chimpanzee down to Gombe in Tanzania from Nairobi.  I have always been astonished by her commitment and work ethic.

Ms Goodall has also improved the lives of thousands of young people world wide with her “Roots and Shoots” program, www.rootsandshoots.org/.

Jane proved to the world that chimpanzees are intelligent, social beings.  Through the studies that she championed, humans have learned that they are not the only animals, who have close family bonds, make and use tools, or engage in warfare against one another.

In 1985, Jane Goodall’s twenty-five years of anthropological and conservation research was published, helping us all to better understand the relationship between all creatures.

Tim is quoted as saying, “If you have never heard Jane speak, this is a must… so if you would like to come and support her in her untiring work, please send your mailing address to safari@safariexperts.com and an invitation with directions will be sent to you.  You can find more information on www.safariexperts.com or call (435) 649-4655.
