Every January, people from all over the world flock to Park City Utah to get a glimpse of the main tourist attraction, The Sundance Film Festival! This program is one of the Sundance Institute’s programs where thousands of films from all around the world are submitted to be considered for a showcase.
The Sundance Institute was a non-profit organization that was founded by Robert Redford in 1981 to help develop independent artists and show their work to the world! Sundance programmers look through all of the submissions to find films that show originality, diversity and a risk taking side of filmaking. Once they choose the best films for the year, they showcase them to an audience of thousands of independent film fans who wait in huge lines to get a glimpse of the show.
